Clear your head and think about the bigger picture with Coaching on the Move.

What’s it all about?

Walking outdoors in green space helps boost creativity and improves the free flow of ideas[1]  while reducing stress[2], but it can be difficult to block out that time away when there are always more emails and conference calls.

Cynozure and TLI Venture Partners are pleased to announce the launch of Coaching on the Move, an initiative that provides emerging data leaders time and space out of the office to take a step back and consider the big picture, with coaching and guidance from some of the UK’s top data leaders.

We’ll meet at 9am at Baker St station, take the train to Chesham for the 9 mile walk over easy terrain to Wendover (and the pub lunch!). You’ll chat with experienced CDOs, to whom you can ask questions and bounce ideas around about the people, processes, and technology required to help organisations unlock the power of data. When we return to London Marylebone station by 5pm, you will have gained valuable insight to help you in your role when you return to the office.

If you are interested in joining (either this or future events), or you would be interested in more general coaching, please let us know by Wednesday 4th March 2020

Some questions you might have…

Who should attend?

Anyone who has moved into a data management position within the past 12 months, with a role such as Head of Data, Analytics Manager, or Lead Data Engineer.

How physically fit do I need to be?

You should be able to walk for 1-2 hours at a leisurely pace (2 miles/hour) over fairly flat terrain before stopping to sit for a break. This is not a race, nor is it a 3 Peaks Challenge; the aim is to provide comfortable walking conditions to facilitate conversation. However, this being England at the end of March, it is highly likely there will be some mud.

Why walking?

Walking improves creative inspiration, memory consolidation, and new connections between brain cells. And time in green space improves memory, and reduces stress levels.

Who is TLI Venture Partners?

TLI Venture Partners was set up by Allison Nau and Nick Novak in 2018. TLI Venture Outdoors is its outside arm, working with individuals and groups to challenge themselves physically whilst enjoying the time outdoors. Allison and Nick are both experienced hillwalkers, outdoor first aid qualified, and are insured for leading groups outdoors.  Allison is also working towards her Mountain Leader assessment, having completed her ML training course in 2019.

What do I need to wear/bring?

We’ll confirm with you in advance of the walk
